The Moose Jaw Miller Express have announced the signings of outfielders Marvin Malone, Jeremy Stidham, and Jayse McLean.

Malone, 6’3 185lbs, is from Douglas, Wyoming and currently playing at Colby Community College in Kansas. In 37 games with the Trojans he has five doubles, four triples, one homerun, 20 RBI’s, and is leading the team with a .349 batting average.

“Marvin is a corner outfielder with a bit of pop and great plate sense,” said Millers Head Coach Michael Hunt. “The true freshan is the leading hitter at Colby Community College and will be key on top of our batting order.”

McLean, 6’3 205lbs, is from Great Falls, Montana and currently playing at North Dakota State University. In 22 games this season he has one double, one triple, five RBI’s, and a .128 batting average.

“Jayse is a freshamn center fielder who brings range and speed to the outfield, as well as the base running threat that has become standard in the league. He and Derek (Cornell) will compliment eachother nicely as running threats,” commented Hunt.

Stidham, 5’9 175lbs, is from Colorado Springs, Colorado and is a teammate of Malone’s at Colby Community College. In 45 games at Colby he has a .296 batting average, five doubles, three triples, and his five home runs and 28 RBI’s ranks second on the team in both categories.

“Jeremy is a multi position impact player as he can play in the outfield and behind the plate. The Colby sophomore combines speed and power that’s hard to ignore at either position,” Hunt said.

Malone, Stidham, and McLean are expected to be with the Miller Express when they open the 2015 WMBL regular season May 29 in Swift Current. Moose Jaw’s home opener is Sunday, May 31 against Regina at 7pm. For season ticket information call 306.691.1402.
