Millers Add Three More Players

The Moose Jaw Miller Express have announced the signings of infielders Andrew Wilson, Miles Orscheln, and Tony Sandifer.
Orscheln (3B), 5’11 200lbs, is from Olathe, Kansas and currently attending the University of Central Missouri. In 23 games he has four doubles, one home run, nine RBI’s, and a .250 batting average.
“Miles is a sophmore at Central Missouri and a multi position player who will see time at second and third,” Millers Head Coach Michael Hunt. “He’s a well balanced player who is able to do many things well and will be a big part of our team this summer.”
Sandifer (3B), 6’1 210lbs, is from Colorado Springs, Colorado and currently attending Central Missouri alon with Orscheln, Derek Cornell, and Paul McMahon. In 45 games this season, he leads the team in doubles with 11, he’s second in home runs with four, third in RBI’s with 29, and is second on the team with a .329 batting average.
“Tony is a senior at Central Missouri and has been a big part of the Mules identity and success during his time there,” Hunt commented. “Primarily a third baseman, he has he ability to play all over the infield. We’ll be looking to him and Ben Douglas to pace the offence at the heart of our batting order.”
Wilson (SS), 5’11 175lbs, is from Encinitas, California and currently attending the University of San Diego. “Andrew is a freshman at the University of San Diego and will be our primary shortstop this season,” Hunt said. “He brings a quality glove and work ethic that helps elevate everyone around him.”
Wilson, Orscheln, and Sandifer are expected to be with the Miller Express when they open the 2015 WMBL regular season May 29 in Swift Current. Moose Jaw’s home opener is Sunday, May 31 against Regina at 7pm. For season ticket information call 306.691.1402.
